University Mental Health and Wellbeing week

From the 5th of September until the 9th, the SRC are partaking in ‘University mental health and wellbeing week’.
 
This week includes World Suicide Prevention Day and RUOK Day, and more than 30 Australian and New Zealand universities are participating. The week aims to create a sense of connection amongst students after an extremely difficult two years. Events and activities will be run across our Nathan, QCA (Southbank), Logan and digital campuses.
 
There will be free food on campus, live music, mental health workshops, free yoga classes, a gratitude wall, and free massages PLUS so much more!

Re-defining self-care and building resilience

Balancing work and study is tough at the best of times. And these last few years have certainly not been the best of times. This workshop aims to help you focus on self-care focused on your own needs rather than expectation.

Batyr Mental Health Workshop

An interactive workshop that is run by Batyr that addresses a range of mental health themes relevant to students.

Mental health literacy workshop by Headspace.

This 1-hour workshop covers three topics. They are:

  • What is a healthy headspace?
  • Stress and how to cope.
  • Healthy relationships.

FREE Afternoon Triva

Come out for lunchtime Trivia at the Uni Bar, free lunch and drinks for the first 100 students! We will have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams and door prizes.
