Closure Notice

The Trimester 3 break is just around the corner! Below is some handy information on when we are closed and who you can contact during this time, and studying late on campus.

Our team is taking a short break after a big year. Our offices and services will not be operating from Monday, 22 December, until Monday, 5 January. We hope you enjoy a restful break and look forward to reconnecting in 2026. Keep an eye on your inbox and our social channels for upcoming updates, offers and activities in the new year.


SRC offices and SRC Advocacy Services

The SRC and SRC Advocacy Service will be taking a break for the holiday period. Here are the closure dates for your campus:

  • Nathan (N28) closed from Friday, 19 December 2025 – Monday, 5 January
  • Southbank (QCAD S02) closed Friday, 19 December 2025 – Monday 13 January
  • Logan (L04) campus is closed from Wednesday, 17 December 2025 – Monday 13 January

The university is closed from the 20th of December 2025 to the 5th of January 2026. During this time, the entire Student Associations team, including the advocacy team, will not be available. 


Food support

The N11 Student Pantry will close for the year on Thursday, 18 December, and won’t reopen until February 2026.

The N11 building is undergoing major refurbishment works throughout January, which means the entire building will be closed during this period. As the pantry operates within N11, we’ll need to pause services while these works take place.

We recognise that closing for this period might be challenging for some of you. If you need support with food, please visit the Cost of Living and Cheaper Living pages provided for Griffith students. We will provide more information on how all student pantries will operate in 2026 early next year.


Student Health, Counselling and Wellbeing Service

Student Health, Counselling and Wellbeing Service will be closed from Monday, 22nd December 2025, and will reopen on Monday, 5th January 2026. 

During this period, for all medical emergencies, please call 000. For personal crisis support, you can call the Griffith Mental Wellbeing Support Line at 1300 785 442 or text 0488 884 146.

If you studying on campus over the break

Don’t forget, the Library opening hours will change during the trimester break please see all opening hours here, and how to get 24/7 computer access here.

If you are on campus doing a late-night study session, use the Campus support escort service. The Campus Support Team (Security) can walk with you to on-campus locations such as your car or accommodation.
